The Sanctuary of Carmine (or Church of St. Mary of Carmelo) was rebuilded at the end of the 15th century, on the ruins of a previous ancient church dedicated to the sacred sorrentine martyrs.
This church has only a single nave. At the far end there is an ancient impression of St. Mary (the Madonna): is a copy of the Dark Skinned Virgin of the church site in Naples and dedicated to the same Saint.
One can admire same paintings of artists of the 16th and 17th centuries.
