Church of Prisco and Agnello in Sant’Agnello

The curch of Saints Prisco and Agnello was built between 14th and 15th centuries, and initially was consacrated to San Prisco.

Sometime later, in the city become really strong the faith in Sant’Agnello, patron saint of pregnant women. The faith in Sant’Agnello grow up so quickly that the St.Prisco church was expanded and there moved the faithful of Sant’Agnello too.

The outside of the church is in baroque style, and the interiors are composed by three naves. Various paintings are hosted in the church. The most important is a Gustavo Mancinelli’s artwork, illustrating the Madonna with the infant jesus and the Saints, Prisco and Agnello, on the background.
