Marina di Praia in Praiano

Overlooked and dominated by an ancient Saracen tower, the beach of Marina di Praia in Praiano is set between rocks, framed by a unique and evocative landscape, making it one of the most sought-after beaches on the Amalfi Coast.

Marina di Praia beach is generally less crowded than some of the other nearby beaches, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the sun and sea. It’s an ideal location for water sports enthusiasts. You can rent kayaks, pedalos and even boats to explore the Amalfi Coast from the sea, and near Marina di Praia you’ll find some fascinating sea caves.

Please note: Praia a mare beach is very small and sunbeds are not cheap. Not the best choice if you’re travelling in high season.

In addition to the beach itself, Marina di Praia is also home to a number of restaurants and bars offering magnificent sea views. You can enjoy local specialities, including fresh seafood and traditional Italian dishes, while admiring the scenery. One of Marina di Praia’s hallmarks is its relaxed atmosphere. Here you’ll find one of the Amalfi Coast’s most famous historic landmarks: the Africana, a suggestive nightclub set into the rock.

The beach is easily accessible from the 163 Amalfitana state road. The SITA SUD public transport service, which covers the Amalfi – Positano route, provides easy access to the beach.
