Where to sleep in Agerola

Little-visited until a few years ago, Agerola is finally beginning to establish itself as one of the best places to sleep on the Amalfi Coast.

Agerola is located in the mountains at an altitude of around 600 meters, a little further away from the main tourist areas. This will enable you to enjoy a more peaceful and relaxed stay, away from the crowds of tourists. What’s more, accommodation in Agerola is generally less expensive than that directly on the coast. So you can save money and still enjoy comfortable accommodation.

Agerola is about 25 km from Naples. In terms of time (and traffic), it’s much easier to reach than the other towns on the Amalfi Coast, although it’s quite close. It therefore deserves the title of ideal base for day trips to the more famous Positano, Ravello and Amalfi. What’s more, its elevated position offers incredible views of Positano, Praiano, the island of Galli and even Capri’s Faraglioni.

If you love nature and hiking, you’ll love Agerola. The town is located on the Sentiero degli Dei hiking trail, which offers spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast and the Mediterranean Sea. It’s the ideal place for travelers looking for a more active stay in touch with nature.
